Meera Sury, MD, MTS, HEC-C is an adjunct assistant professor in the Center for Bioethics. She is a member of the clinical ethics consultation team for MHealth Fairview. Dr. Sury holds a master’s of theological studies from Harvard Divinity School and medical doctorate from the University of Minnesota. She completed residency training in internal medicine and served as a clinical ethicist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Her current research compares hospital policies for consent and withdrawal of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Dr. Sury’s academic interests center around the intersection of clinical ethics and critical care medicine, including equitable allocation of scarce resources, dispute resolution, and decision-making for patients without surrogates.
