Brooke Cunningham, MD, PhD, Minnesota Commissioner of Health, was a keynote speaker for a virtual International Women’s Day conference on March 8, 2023. The conference was sponsored by Twin Cities’ nonprofits, Isuroon (https://www.isuroon.org/burnsville-office) and International Leadership Institute (https://internationalleadership.org/), both of which are committed to issues of social justice. International Women’s Day is recognized by the United Nations as a day to focus the world’s attention on projects to improve gender equality.
